My broadband went down again. I had just enough time last night to reply to comments on my last post, then boom. I've spent the day being passed between BT and Time computers and being given different advice each time, none of which solved the problem. So I'm back on dial-up for the time being. I don't want to spend too long on dial-up each day though - as some of you know, my aunt's having a baby, so I want the phone line clear most of the day in case she phones. I'm having problems with my mobile's sim card too, so I'm relying on the phone right now. Technology's fine until it goes tits-up, isn't it? I'm so excited about this baby, and it isn't even mine! :D It feels like I'm getting a nephew or a niece instead of a cousin because the age difference is so great. I'm going to be an aunt! (sort of)/giddy

So I won't be around as much as I'd like until I get this mess sorted out, but I'll try to keep an eye on the old fl and my inbox.

In the meantime, anyone got any plot bunnies needing a home? I've been wanting to write a horror story for a while, preferably a Ronnie/Jason, and I have started a Ron Blake/Constantine x-over for wtf_27. Or it doesn't have to be a horror plot bunny, just anything that would be good for R/J. Cheers!

I bought a newish computer from someone at work a few months ago and had broadband installed. Yesterday, I downloaded a free anti-virus software trial and installed it. The computer hated that so much for some reason that it froze every time I started it up, so I couldn't simply remove the program. This carried on until I decided to restore the computer to its factory settings (bit drastic, but I can't really afford to get an expert to look at it and nothing else I did worked), and now I can't get my broadband up and running again. Thank fuck I kept this computer.

I've lost everything on the other one, but there was nothing too important except my massive Ronnie/Jason which thankfully I had backed up on this computer. :) BREATHE, CHELSEY, BREATHE

So I'm a bit absent while I get this mess sorted out, but I love you all and I hope you're all doing okay. :D

I'm on a bit of a reading binge. Anybody got author/book recs they'd like to share with me? Anything quite plotty or scary?

My employers have finally gotten round to getting me a new SVQ assessor. I have my first meeting with him on Wednesday right after my nightshift, and I've remembered that I left my SVQ folders in my locker and have lost the key. *Headdesk* Wednesday morning will be fun...

If I wasn't so invested in my fandoms over here, I'd go to Greatestjournal or Insanejournal for good. My respect for LJ has never been so low. I know a lot of people are saying this, but I was thinking about buying a paid account before all this crap. I wasn't going to make a post about this, but this has been bugging me since last night.

I really resent being told what I can and can't say in my own journal. I haven't looked at the lj biz post since last night because it takes too long for my browser to load, but I hope people have started to notice this little paragraph:

Which does look good at first glance. But even though I disagree with comments like these and would never make them, once LJ starts censoring people's statements, where does it end? People do have the right to make these statements, and people have the right to challenge the people making these statements. I disagree strongly against banning people from making them in the first place.

Yes, lol, srs bizness, unpopular opinion, it's only a online blog, etc. I'll shut up now.

So did my passport application, saying that I'd forgotten to fill in part of the form. I hate filling in forms, bugger it. >:(

Ask me anything you want about any of my stories: how I thought of the idea, what I did to write it, what I was thinking when I wrote it, what I feel about it now, what I wish I'd done differently, etc. Or ask any of the characters from particular stories something you want to know, and get an answer from them, or both.

Going shopping for stuff for America tomorrow... I think I'll just buy enough to do me for a day or two and then buy the rest of the holiday clothes over there to get it cheaper. I won't get much use out of summer stuff in November when I get back here :D

I'm knackered. Last Friday, my manager asked me to attend a course down in Darlington. Since I've only got one more shift today and then I've got eleven days off, I agreed. So I had to get up at half five yesterday to meet up with the nurse who drove us down there. When we got there, we were told that the course was taking place elsewhere in Darlington, so we had to spend another half hour looking for it. All that travelling for a course that only lasted 2 hours. :( We got caught in horrendous traffic on the way back because of Edinburgh's screwed up traffic system and finally got home around 7. I nearly cheered when I saw 'Dundee' on the road signs. HOME SWEET HOME.
Never doing that again.

Last night I had a dream I was back in Edinburgh firing a rocket launcher at the traffic. I think my subconcious is telling me I have extreme road rage. ;D
